So I have a day and a half to finish my bike (1981 GS550l) up after a full rebuild, and once again I am stuck on a part I don't have. This is the only thing holding me up, and I thought I got one (from the Netherlands no less, because noone in the US has it), but I missed the email where the dude said I overpaid, sent back my money and asked me to send him the right amount. Thus, I never actually got this part and am now fucked.

After spending as much time and money as I have on it? No thanks. Also, it's probably worth $50 in its current state. All I need is this part, which I may or may not now have a line on, and I'll have it finished in time.

Going back to school and my mom is selling the house this spring. I'll be able to find somewhere to store it I'm sure, but it will be gobs less of a pain in the ass if it's running.

I do plan on racing it eventually, though. First major mods after it's up and running are gixxer uprights and a custom rear.

ok well i have an 02 gsx-r600 just sitting here and i can part it out if you need stuff. cant do anything with it bc it needs new throttle bodies, the rear subframe is cracked, fork seals busted and leaking hydro fluid on the front brakes so it needs new pads and calipers, right motor mount is cracked, etc... no one here wants to ride it or bother fixing it.

It's fine, I'll just have to figure it out. The place didn't have the part, which is a long, disappointing and somewhat odd story, so I'll just get back in touch with a foreign guy who has the part in stock. They stopped using it the year after my bike was made, thanks for the3 offer, though.
